About Hygge Flower Studio
Hello and welcome
I’m Kirsty, a qualified Florist and Floral Demonstrator specialising in creating unique bouquets and floral arrangements that warm the soul. I love to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for flowers through monthly workshops and I will always encourage anyone to seek “flower therapy” whenever and wherever they can.
You are in very good hands
Having qualified with ‘Distinction’ at Cannington in Somerset and gained experience with local florists, I’ve also had the honour of being mentored by a multiple-award-winning floral designer and his specialist team in Ascot, Berkshire.

Have you noticed you can’t help but smile and feel relaxed when you are around flowers? You could be out on your own in nature and spy wild flowers growing in the countryside, or indoors with a group of friends on a flower workshop. Either way You. Just. Can’t. Resist. the feelings of calm and awe. This is the power of the flower.
Too often do we think about flowers being a luxury gift or only for “special occasions”. I believe flowers play a very important role in our mental and emotional well-being. They stimulate our senses and are well known for triggering the happy chemicals in our brains. So I’m putting it out there – “It’s ok to buy yourself flowers”
What is Hygge?
Hygge, pronounced Hoo-gah, is a Danish word which roughly translates to ‘Cosy’. It can be explained more as a feeling you experience when you are content, cosy and comfortable.
Imagine how you feel when it’s Christmas. Now imagine you are relaxing in front of a log fire, comfy clothes are on, thick woolly socks warm your feet and you’re snuggled into your favourite blanket. Hot drink in hand, a good book to read and you are enjoying some of your favourite food. Candles light the room and you can smell the sweet fragrance from your freshly cut flowers and Christmas decorations you’ve spent time creating – That feeling you feel is Hygge! The simple comforts in life.
‘Hygge’ to me, means bringing comfort, joy and contentment through flowers to myself and everyone around me. ‘Hygge Flower Studio’ is a very fitting name for the feeling I wish to create when I produce flower arrangements for you.

When you order flowers from Hygge Flower Studio, you are guaranteed a personal, thoughtful and attentive service. I’m also very proud to be able to provide you with the freshest, highest-quality blooms available.
I like to use fresh, seasonal flowers from the UK and Holland which are personally selected, ordered, and delivered to the studio within hours of being cut.
Upon arrival, each stem is carefully inspected, conditioned and cared for until it is ready to be added into your special arrangement.
